Children’s therapy

Can children benefit from hypnotherapy?

Yes. Children from 6 to 16 can be treated, but only with the consent (and preferably in the presence) of their parent or guardian. They can be helped with, for example, exam nerves, shyness/confidence, motivation, nervous ticks, delayed thumb-sucking.

I specialise in working with children because of my background as a primary school teacher and private tutor. Having been a primary school teacher for over twenty years (and therefore CRB/DBS-checked), I work regularly with children.  From the age of nine or ten they usually respond very well to hypnotherapy.  It is possible to work with younger children using NLP techniques. I also do home visits as they enjoy being seen in a familiar environment, where they feel safe.

There may be a small additional charge for my expenses.
